This half-day Spanish and English bilingual workshop serves as an abbreviated introduction to Marco DALE. Through an interactive and applied approach, participants will connect the pedagogical foundations of Marco DALE to inform instructional planning and engage in discussions and activities that leverage the pedagogical framework, tools, and resources. This workshop is delivered primarily in Spanish.
Audience
This workshop is designed for Spanish/English bilingual K-12 educators, administrators, coaches, curriculum coordinators and support staff with minimal experience using el Marco de los estándares del desarrollo auténtico del lenguaje español de WIDA (Marco DALE).
Outcomes
Participants will be able to:
- Maximize the cultural and linguistic assets of bi/multilingual students in bilingual instructional settings
- Identify how Marco DALE can support planning for bilingual instruction
